2021 NCAA Live Period Team, Player and Coach Information
The following NCAA links assist participants in knowing what they need to do in order to be eligible to participate in NCAA-certified events:

This info includes links to user resource quick-reference guides and manuals including guidelines and step by step instructions for participants.
The USA Basketball Gold License link (https://community.usab.com) - ALL individuals involved in coaching activities will need to obtain a USAB Gold License. (Returning users should RENEW their previous account and NOT create a new one)
The Basketball Certification System (BBCS) link (http://bbcs.ncaa.org) – ALL team organizations, coaches, and athletes need to be registered in this database. (Returning coach and athlete users should RENEW their previous account and NOT create a new one)
MANDATORY NCAA COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
1. All participants MUST Registration (athletes, organizations, and coaches):
2. Obtaining a USA Basketball (USAB) Gold Coaches License;
- Must be completed by *Program Director & ALL Coaches* before you can get on the BBCS
- Can take up to 3 weeks due to background check
- Previous users : use same email account for USAB and Background Check then follow instructions to take the refresher educational courses
- New users: follow instructions provided to take ALL educational course requirement

3. Bench/roster creation under COACH Tab
- Program Director needs to create the Organization BBCS account
- Coaches need to get BBCS account
- 2021 Bench: Add ALL Players and coaches to “team bench” by inviting them (then they must accept to appear). Respond to any Justification warnings on your bench.
- 2021 Rosters: Create “Team Roster” for *each team* and add it to the specific event by clicking only the players who will be playing in that event and assigning jersey #s

4. ALL these activities (above) MUST be completed in advance of your team traveling to the event.
5. IMPORTANT LINKS
Important reminders:
- All coaches must obtain a USAB Gold License
- All athletes and coaches must register in the BBCS;
- Coaches who are NOT the person of ultimate authority for the team and instead are part of an organization that is financially responsible will need to inform the organization of the new requirement for them to register and manage the addition of teams in the BBCS.
- Administrative coach must claim financial responsibility for their team or connect to an organization that is financially responsible AND been accepted into the organization by the organization's person of authority PRIOR TO an event operator seeing a team's roster(s).
- Administrative coach must build their team bench in the BBCS (send invitations to athletes and coaches);
- Coaches and athletes must accept the invitation to be added to the team's bench;
- Submit justifications for athletes on their bench that have residency issues;
- Create the roster(s) for your event in the BBCS
- *ALL must be done BEFORE they travel to an event - if not the team will be denied participation - as directed by the NCAA ECAG & BBCS
