2007 Fullcourt Press Spring League Report: Part II

The 2007 Fullcourt Press Spring League concluded its four week run on March 18th. In Part I of this report (published on March 15th), we highlighted several players who impressed us. Here in Part II, we focus on several other players who also performed well:
Tyrone Shelly 6’6” Sr. Crawford (San Diego CA)
Pepperdine signee is a bona-fide high-major player and sensational scorer who has both range on his proficient jump shot and the athletic ability to play high above the rim!
Malcolm Thomas 6’8” Sr. Crawford (San Diego CA)
Another Pepperdine steal who has pro potential! Long, athletic and skilled, Thomas’ upside is tremendous and he is a player that impacts the game at both ends of the floor.
Chris Gabriel 6’10” Jr. JSerra (San Juan Capistrano CA)
Very improved center is really physical and has shown tremendous development in his shooting touch around the basket. Gabriel has both the body and the energy to bang with most down low. South African native has mid-to-high major potential.
Roberto Nelson 6’3” So. Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara CA)
Very talented lead guard ala Jason Kidd has great court instincts and is a smart player that makes things happen at both ends. Schools already in the mix include Arizona, Ohio State, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Cheyne Martin 6’2” Sr. Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach CA)
Lefty combo-guard is a terrific shooter with an excellent feel for the game.
Chauncey Campanaro 6’7” Sr. JSerra (San Juan Capistrano CA)
Bouncy combo-forward (bound for Seattle Pacific) has nice scoring skills.
Tyler Lamb 6’5” Fr. Colony (Ontario CA)
Sharp-shooting wing forward has scoring instincts that are hard to teach. Great potential!
Troy Graves 6’0” Sr. Wilson (Hacienda Heights CA)
High scoring combo-guard has a very confident stroke. Eddie House-type player.
Clifford Takeshi 6’6” Jr. Ocean View (Huntington Beach CA)
Skilled combo-forward has nice agility and the ability to get to the cup and finish.
Carlos Johnson 6’3” Jr. Antelope Valley Christian (Lancaster CA)
Quick and strong guard has a tremendous first step and can create his own shot as well as handle the rock with stability.
Marcus Shannon 6’2” Sr. San Diego (San Diego CA)
Maybe the best guard defender in the league, Shannon is also a solid ballhandler.
Terran Carter 6’4” Jr. Taft (Woodland Hills CA)
Physical and deceptively athletic forward is a winner!
Greg Murray 6’5” Sr. Serra (San Diego CA)
Underrated forward is productive on the offensive end. Sleeper D-II or NAIA prospect.
Caspar Ware 5’9” Jr. Gahr (Cerritos CA)
Small but feisty point was named co-MVP of the San Gabriel Valley League this year (along with Illinois-bound Quentin Watkins/Dominguez HS)
Marcus Johnson 6’0” Jr. Joel John (Los Angeles CA)
Very improved point guard has a smooth handle and a nice perimeter stroke.
Marques Morton 6’3” Jr. Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara CA)
Underrated wing moves well without the ball and can knock down open jump shots.
James Boyd 6’5” So. Jordan (Los Angeles CA)
Young and athletic swingman is oozing with potential. One to track!
Nick Sanchez 5’10” Jr. Wilson (Long Beach CA)
Heady and tough PG has ability knock down jump shots.
Brett Bronder 6’2” Jr. Poway (Poway CA)
Very good shooter has nice court instincts and is an underrated defender.
Jean Harris 6’1” Sr. Los Angeles (Los Angeles CA)
Quick combo-guard has legitimate scoring skills.
Quincy Lawson 6’5” So. Vista (Vista CA)
Swingman has an athletic physique and the long arms necessary to be a good defender.
Sheldon Smith 6’0” Sr Gardena (Gardena CA)
Quick combo-guard is a nice ballhandler.
Donovan Jackson 6’3” So. El Toro (El Toro CA)
Slashing scorer has a nice feel for the game and is a solid defender.
Ben Forman 6’1” Jr. Brentwood (Los Angeles CA)
Good shooter and dependable ballhandler.
Devonte Elliott 6’6” So. Paramount (Paramount CA)
Raw but long forward runs floor well and has real potential.
Kyle Pascual 6’5” Jr. Esperanza (Anaheim CA)
Active combo-forward has real ability to slash and score.
Matt Kanne 6’1” Sr. Servite (Anaheim CA)
Solid combo-guard has range on jump shot.
RJ Farrell 6’3” So. Villa Park (Villa Park CA)
Strong wing has soft shooting touch.
Ethan Ayres 5’10” Fr. Mater Dei (Santa Ana CA)
Sharp-shooting point looks to be a perimeter contributor for future Mater Dei squads.
Steve Delatorie 6’0” Sr. Knight (Palmdale CA)
Productive combo-guard is a good slashing scorer.
Tommie Stangl 5’10” Fr. JSerra (San Juan Capistrano CA)
Scrappy playmaker handles pressure well and is a nifty passer.
Vincent Payne 6’4” So. El Modena (Orange CA)
Athletic slashing scorer has nice potential.
Wynton Bernard 6’2” Jr. Rancho Bernardo (San Diego CA)
Strong wing guard can score in traffic.
Adam Brakeville 6’4” Jr. JSerra (San Juan Capistrano CA)
Very good shooter has 3-point range.
Justin Brown 5’11” Jr. Loara (Anaheim CA)
Very solid ballhandler is an accurate passer and underrated defender.
Tielden McKissic 6’4” Jr. Lancaster (Lancaster CA)
Undersized power forward is a rugged rebounder.
Damiene Cain 6’6” 8th Harvard-Westlake (North Hollywood CA)
Very promising power forward is one of the nation’s top Class of 2011 prospects and will be an impact freshman next year when he gets to play alongside 6’7” junior Renaldo Woolridge.
Michael Knight 6’2” Sr. Crenshaw (Los Angeles CA)
Cousin of Joe Shipp (former Cal star), Josh Shipp (UCLA) and Jerren Shipp (Arizona State), Knight is a very improved and underrated wing guard.
Josiah Broadway 6’0” Fr. Antelope Valley Christian (Lancaster CA)
Very quick point has nice potential.
John Harewood 6’4” Jr. Poly (Pasadena CA)
Excellent student is a good slashing scorer. Father Dorian Harewood is an actor who has performed in several feature films including Full Metal Jacket.
Sevak Amranyan 6’1” Jr. Burbank (Burbank CA)
Very good shooter uses screens well.
Christian Allen 6’6” So. Brethren Christian (Huntington Beach CA)
Lanky forward has nice touch in the paint and made nice week-to-week improvement over the course of the league.
Keith Scott II 5’10” Fr. Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita CA)
Scott is a lead guard with a respectable handle.
Jordan Lopez 5’11” Sr. Burroughs (Burbank CA)
Dependable balhandler and nice passer.
DeAngelo Scott 6’6” So. Lynwood (Lynwood CA)
“Spaghetti” is a long and skilled forward who has drawn comparisons to a young Davon Jefferson (who also attended Lynwood).
Mike Black 6’2” So. Mayfair (Lakewood CA)
Quick combo-guard has nice scoring skills.
Varag Zakarian 5’10” Jr. Burbank (Burbank CA)
Very solid playmaker sets up teammates well.
Webb Massey 6’1” Jr. Santiago (Corona CA)
Very good shooter has nice feel for the game.
Ryan Aribues 6’3” Jr. Laguna Hills (Laguna Hills CA)
Strong off-guard plays solid defense and has range on his perimeter shot.
Allan Banker 6’0” So. Mayfair (Lakewood CA)
Heady lead guard knows how to run a team and is a pinpoint passer. Very good student.
Andre Jackson 5’9” Jr. Walnut (Walnut CA)
Shifty point has ability to evade defensive fullcourt pressure.
Irwin Flores 6’0” So. St. Genevieve (Panorama City CA)
Crafty combo-guard can score.
Chad Delaney 6’0” Jr. Esperanza (Anaheim CA)
Orange County combo-guard plays hard and defends well.
Anthony Constantino 5’11” Jr. Esperanza (Anaheim CA)
Savvy point guard has a solid basketball IQ.
Shaun Norum 6’2” So. Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos CA)
Improving guard has confidence in his jump shot. Good student.
Keyin Ervin 5’9” Jr. Price (Los Angeles CA)
Small, but scrappy PG sets the table well for teammates.
Eric Zickefoose 6’5” So. Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos CA)
Small forward has nice ability to face-up and score. Underrated rebounder.
Joshua Brown 6’0” Sr. El Modena (Orange CA)
Crisp shooting guard plays solid defense.
Mark Estahbanati 6’2” So. Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos CA)
Cerebral combo-guard has nice court instincts.
Sean DeFrancesco 5’11” Fr. El Segundo (El Segundo CA)
Young point has potential to evolve into a very solid playmaker.
Jibri Rasool 5’5” 8th Inglewood CA
Small, but competitive point held his own against the older players in this league.
Jacob Mark 5’10” Sr. Gardena (Gardena CA)
Slippery point handles defensive pressure well
Benjamin Ates 6’0” Jr. Muir (Pasadena CA)
Hard-working combo-guard has a strong handle and the ability to find open teammates.
Jonathan Conley 6’3” Fr. Littlerock (Littlerock CA)
Promising wing has potential to develop into an excellent prospect.
Cameron Robinson 6’2” Jr. King-Drew (Los Angeles CA)
Active wing has nice potential to be an excellent slashing scorer.
Andre Alexandrian 6’0” So. Burbank (Burbank CA)
Scrappy guard plays stiff defense.
Gregory Gatlin 6’0” So. Centennial (Corona CA)
Young combo-guard works hard on the defensive end.
Narek Pananian 6’1” Jr. Burbank (Burbank CA)
Off-guard has nice ability to take defenders off the dribble.
Victor Matsuyama 5’10” So. Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos CA)
Heady guard is an excellent student.
William Trott 5’6” Fr. Cerritos (Cerritos CA)
Quick hands allows this small PG to steal the ball from opponents on a regular basis.
Nikola Janosevic 6’1” Jr. San Gabriel (San Gabriel CA)
Solid defender and ballhandler.
Arthur Mogilevsky 5’11” So. Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos CA)
Tough lead guard has ability to find open teammates.
Darrion Houston 6’5” Sr. Lynwood (Lynwood CA)
Active defender and rebounder.
