The 6^th annual Fullcourt Press All-Frosh/Soph Camp was held at the SCBA Center (Cypress CA) on October 28-29, featuring 130-plus top 2009 and 2010 players from California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Washington, Minnesota and Oklahoma. The first article related to this camp focused on the players selected to the “cream of the crop” games. This article offers impressions of other players (in alphabetical order) that attended the camp. Please keep in mind that when dealing with young players, there is considerable room for improvement and all listed here have the potential to develop into excellent players.

*           Glenn Ackerland          6’5”     So.        Pleasant Grove (Sacramento CA)

Active post has nice “face-up” shooting ability.

*           Chris Adames              6’0”      So.       Diamond Ranch (Diamond Bar CA)

Very solid and strong point has steady handle.

*           Christian Allen             6’6”      So.       Brethren Christian (Huntington Beach CA)

Raw big man has nice size and plenty of time to refine skills.

*           Michael Alvarez           5’10”    7^th        Calvary Chapel (Downey CA)

Very young but talented combo-guard is a future star and an “A” student.

*           Chinedu Amajoyi          6’1”      Fr.        Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga CA)

While fellow frosh teammate Kendall Williams has gotten a bit more ink so far in his early HS career, Amajoyi has shown that he can also play with the best in this class. Excellent slashing scorer and defender.

*           Kevin Anderson             5’9”      Fr.        Brethren Christian (Huntington Beach CA)

Quick PG has crafty handle and plays excellent “D”. Very good student (3.4 GPA).

*           Tor Anderson                 6’2”      Fr.        Prior Lake (Prior Lake MN)

Hard-working off-guard plays solid defense.

*           Andrew Arzouman         6’4”      Fr.        Salpointe (Tucson AZ)

Skilled wing with size can knock down outside shots.   Very good student.

*           Jordan Augustine           5’11”    So.       Waterford (Sandy UT)

Scrappy point can knock down perimeter shots and has a very confident handle. Very good student (3.4 GPA).

*           Ethan Ayres                    5’10”    Fr.        Mater Dei (Santa Ana CA)

Sharp-shooting lead guard is a player of the future for perennial powerhouse Mater Dei.

*           Allan Banker                  5’11”    So.       Mayfair (Lakewood CA)

Smart point has a big basketball IQ and really knows how to run a team. Excellent student (3.7 GPA).

*           Max Bell                        5’9”      So.       Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks CA)

Small PG plays with a lot of toughness and sets the table well for teammates.

*           Julian Benarouche        5’10”    Fr.        New Roads (Santa Monica CA)

Savvy playmaker has nice scoring skills and the court instincts necessary to be a premier floor general. Just missed being a “cream of the crop” selection.

*           Brian Berkley                 6’5”      So.       Valencia (Placentia CA)

Physical banger rebounds well.

*           Zack Bjork                      6’6”     So.        Mountain View (Vancouver WA)

Agile combo-forward runs floor well and can finish when he drives to the hoop.

*           Kyle Boswell                  6’0”      Fr.        Edison (Huntington Beach CA)

“Tough as nails” lead guard has a potent perimeter stroke and handles it with authority.

*           Evan Brooks                   6’1”      Fr.       Colony (Ontario CA)

Off-guard has nice ability to finish in transition. Good student (3.1 GPA).

Combo-forward has good size and an advanced skill set for age/grade.

Very quick point is a harassing defender.

Tough lead guard takes good care of the rock.

Fundamentally sound point guard plays with poise.

Very underrated off-guard can really score. Solid student (3.0 GPA).

*           Derick Flowers             5’11”    So.       Pacific Hills (Los Angeles CA)

Good-looking PG handles ball well.

*           Jhordan Ford                6’5”      So.       Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks CA)

Agile swingman has a bright upside.

Combo-guard is an effective slashing scorer and “spot-up” shooter.

Smart lead guard has a very nice feel for the game and a jump shot that extends beyond the 3-point stripe.   Outstanding student.

*           Javion Gardner            6’3”      So.       Lancaster (Lancaster CA)

Athletic and active wing is one to track.

Scrappy playmaker plays hard.

Athletic and skilled off-guard is one to keep an eye on. Can really score off the dribble.

Hard-working point handles ball well and keeps turnovers to a minimum.

Small point is fast and an impressive on-ball defender.

Crafty lead guard has a lethal stroke that extends well past 3-point arc.

Younger brother of Dorrell Wright (Miami Heat) is very green but like his brother will be a late-bloomer.

Active wing-forward finishes well in traffic and is a very good student (3.3 GPA).
