2006 Pangos All-South Frosh/Soph Camp: Part II

During the first article related to the Pangos All-South Frosh/Soph Camp held at Norcross HS (Norcross GA) on October 14-15 we highlighted those players that were selected to the Cream of the Crop Games.  While only 40-plus players were able to be selected, the overall talent at the camp was very deep and we would like to highlight a few other players that were promising prospects as well.

 

*           LaDarius Goens                       5’10”    So.       Marist (Alpharetta GA)

Crafty point guard can score and is a very good student (3.7 GPA).

 

*           Myles Carroll                           5’7”      So.       Sprayberry (Marrieta GA)

Quick point showed consistency on his jump shot here.  Excellent student (3.5 GPA).

 

*           Brandon Grayson                     6’0”      So.       Sprayberry (Marrieta GA)

Athletic combo-guard is an excellent defender and fine student (3.4 GPA).

 

*           Kelton Buchanan                     5’10”    So.       Hillgrove (Powder Springs GA)

Fast PG handles rock well and can beat defenders off the dribble.

 

*           Vincent Wallace                    6’1”  Fr.  Southwest Christian Academy (Mableton GA)

Strong combo-guard gets to the basket quickly and can finish.

 

*           Michael Woods                        6’2”      So.       Hardaway (Columbus GA)

Slashing scorer is a solid student (3.0 GPA)

 

*           John Galbreith Drew               6’3”      So.       Northside (Columbus GA)

Quality wing can defend and is a good student (3.0 GPA).

 

*           Trevon Tyson               6’0”      Fr.        Hillwood (Nashville TN)

Combo-guard can score and is a fine passer.

 

*           Maxwell Ugboaja                    6’6”      Fr.        Hillwood (Nashville TN)

Physical forward is a fantastic student (4.0 GPA).

 

*           Rodney Gilbert                        6’2”      Fr.        Spalding (Griffin GA)

Promising young wing has a nice perimeter stroke.

 

*           G’mitri Rice                             5’11”    Fr.        Walton (Marrieta GA)

While older brother Glen had a great camp, G’mitri showed off some skills here too.  Good student (3.0 GPA).

 

*I          Jonathan Dabel                       5’10”    Fr.        East Paulding (Dallas GA)

Cerebral lead guard has rock solid handle.

 

*           Stephen Conrad                      6’5”      So.       Kennesaw Mountain (Kennessaw GA)

Strong combo-forward does not mind mixing it up inside.

 

*           Joshua Gebhardt                     6’3”      Fr.       Landmark Christian (Douglasville GA)

Very good student (3.5 GPA) has range on jump shot.

 

*           Blake Floyd                             5’3”      Fr.        Chattahoochese (Alpharetta GA)

Scrappy but small point competes well.
